You can not get the mugshot "back" from the county. You may be able to obtain a copy. I know that some people like to have them as a keepsake. Go to the local sheriff's department and enquire with them. Ask about making a Freedom of Information Act request. You may be able to get a copy this way.

Your mugshot is property of the county in which you were arrested, You have no legal claim to it. If you do not want the authorities to have photograps of you, its real simple...don't violate the law!

If you've been found not guilty they have to send you your mugshots and fingerprints back to you.

If you want a copy of it, ask your attorney to get one, he has authority to do so. If you want to confiscate it, impossible!
