but I kissed her yesterday and I got a big piece of roast beef in my mouth. She must not have brushed too well. Now I have trouble kissing her without thinking of that incident. How do I get past it?

Oh brother! If that little incident is bothering you this much maybe you should hold off on proposing for a while. I don't know that you are ready for marriage. How old are you anyway? Marriage is not going to be all pretty all the time. When you truly love someone, you love them when they look their sexiest and you love them when the get up in the morning with their hair sticking up everywhere and sleep in their eyes. Believe me, you are going to occasionaly see the most unattractive sides of your significant other, just as she will yours. It happens. You're both human and do the things that humans do. Its not all going to be sunshine and roses all the time and that is okay. At some point or another you will have to deal with morning breath and gas and hairy legs and days when she is feeling bloated and wearing her loose sweats and granny panties. You'll be taking care of her when she is puking sick, just as she would be doing for you. I would venture to say that you don't look like an adonis 100% of the time. Marriage is for better or worse. You marry a person, not a doll. Grow up and get over it.

The truth about love is that it isn't pretty, point blank. Not everything in a relationship can be pretty pink and blue thoughts, and perfect. It just doesn't happen like that. If you're going to let something so small and insignificant ruin the way you feel about her, then you've got no business even considering marriage.

Did she cook the roast beef herself? If so, go for it. How many girls do you know these days that actually know how to cook?
