Hi there...consider using a covered cat box where you can face the opening entrance against a wall corner where only it's wide enough that your cat can squeeze into but the dog is unable to enter.

Good luck. My friend has jokingly said she wants to start a business selling cat poop shaped dog-treats. They might not be popular with owners, but dogs would love them. I can't keep my Spaniel out of the litter box. If you're dog is medium-large it's possible you could buy a covered litter box, or even have a litter-box cover built of wood that would be large enough for the cat, but too small for the dog to get to the box. There's really no easy solution.

Dogs are gross sometimes. Sprinkle some white vinegar inside the cat poop box or area.

but when it is picked out of the cat box, it is not only delicious, it is crunchy, too.
let me know how this is done, all my dogs have helped themselves to the snack--i mean cat box, too.
