If you're both on a break at the same time, or if you can contrive to get on a break when he does, find him, walk over like you're going to walk past him but then stop and look back at him and say that you're going to go get a soda (or coffee, tea, whatever's convenient) and ask him casually if you can get him something.
If he says no, smile at him and ask, "are you sure?" (give him a really great smile and if he says no, just shrug and say okay, and go get yourself that drink.)
If he says yes, refuse to let him pay you back when you bring him the drink. If he insists, just tell him that he can buy you a drink sometime instead.

No matter what answer he gives, you'll have let him know in a very friendly and non-pressuring way that you're interested in him, and given him an opening to start a conversation and/or ask you out. Good luck!

(Make sure he's not already drinking something when you ask though, or you'll sound a little silly.)

if you ever have lunch at the same time ask him if he would like to join you, even if its fast food. that way you can talk and get to know each other more. or if you notice he might need some help with something at work, see if he wants some help. (not needs, wants)
