henna is the name of the herb that you can use to make a paste out of. this paste can be put in special tubes to squeeze out designs all over a persons body. this 'tattoo' is not permanent and is also called 'temporary tattoos' by some people. it fades away over time. the timing depends on how much you wash the area you have your tattoo on and stuff. Henna doesnt cause allergic reactions unless some @$$ hole gets some cheap black henna which is really dangerous and can cause a lot of probs. and of course like in every skin product; there are a couple special people who's skin is too sensitive and etc.
o yea. you only keep henna on for like 2 hours to get the natural dye to appear and it also depends on which brand of henna a person uses...good henna brands will leave an orange ish stain even if you only have the paste on your finger for like 5 seconds. and of course the longer you keep henna on the darker the color of your tattoo. i like to keep mine overnight and then just wash it off the next morning...the beds are a pain to clean bc the henna kinda like peels itself off overnight but i think its worth the effort.

a henna tattoo is not permanent, it is semi-permanent, which means it will last longer then a temporary, but unlike a permanent, it will fade over time, usually two to four weeks depending on how long you leave the henna paste on and what kind of henna you use. I used to get them all the time when i was younger (middle eastern family!) but when i got older i developed this kind of phobia where i only liked them on my hands for the first week, yet as soon as they started to fade i would start to freak out! (yeah i know its weird>>) like i would feel dirtty and stuff, wayyyyy OCD. Its been a while, but the next time me and my baby go on a vacation somewhere warm where skin is showing, i think il get it professionally done all over my arms and my legs.

Henna is contrived form a plant, it is used for traditional purposes, such as Indian weddings. Its made into a paste and squeezed onto skin, sometimes people but a special oil on their skin so it will absorb better. The pigment stains from yellow to a deep red, this depends on how long you leave it on for. Also this can last up to weeks and eventually fades away. In Indian weeding the women is treated like a princess until it fades. Also it is used as hair dye. You can but henna kits that come with cutouts that have a design already and sometime the oil too. once applied you have to wait for it to dry , depends on intruction, then you rinse it off and and the design remains stained.

Henna is the ink .. This is only painted on as a tattoo is embedded into the skin by using a needle ... Henna ink is known to cause allergic reactions . How ever it is not permanent ... It just has to be worn off .

It is called henna because that is the name of the natural plant that the dye comes from. The henna plants grows in very hot countries, and they harvest the leaves from it. They dry the leaves, they crush and sift the leaves into a very fine powder. Then the powder itself is made into a paste using lemon juice, sugar and pure essential oils. There you have it natural henna paste. It is not permanent as well. So you can draw on yourself as much as you'd like and have lots of fun ! Beats using a pen on yourself.

A henna tatto is just dye on the surface of the skin. It is just a stain that is painted on, so it gradually fades. Also, there is only the one color. Looks a little different depending on your skin, but basically a reddish brown. It doesn't even really last that long on most people.
A real tattoo is various colors of inks inserted below the skin using needles.

Henna tattoos look just like real ones but the ink isn't permanent and won't sink deep in your skin. It lasts about 2-3 weeks.

Henna is a herb that stains, it is not permanent - any art on the body can be called a tattoo, even if temporary.

henna is a natural dye. it isn't permanent, and will fade over time. depending on where you get the henna, how often it is washed and rubbed up against, and how strong the pigment in the dye is, it could last a few weeks.
