Anyone know what the literal translation of the phrase "más feo como Picio" is? I know that it equates to "as ugly as ____" in English, but what's Picio? It's capitalized, is it a person?

Picio was a shoemaker from Granada that centuries ago was condemned to death and when he recieved the notice of the warrant it stressed him out that it left him bald which he lost his hair, eyelashes and eyebrows and with a deformed face and full of warts. Eversince then his is the Pagan Saint of the Ugly people.

Pico as Carissa correctly says it is the name a shoemaker from Granada that has become the symbol of ugliness.

Sbarbi en su "Gran Diccionario de Refranes", dice que Picio fue un zapatero, natural de Alhendín, y que vivía en Granada en la primera mitad del siglo último. Fue condenado a la última pena; hallándose en capilla recibió la noticia del indulto, y le causó tal impresión, que se quedó a poco sin pelo, cejas ni pestañas y con la cara tan deforme y llena de tumores, que pasó a ser citado como modelo de fealdad más horrorosa.
'Más feo que...' means 'Uglier than...'

I think Picio is just a poor ugly guy.
It will be like saying, as ugly as Freddy Adu
