I have a 2 year old Chihuahua-Dashund mix. She has very VERY bead breath. Is there anything I can do to help her. It is so bad that no one wants a lick anymore, and of course, her being a dog, she has to be able to lick.

Go to the vet and make sure theres no infections in her mouth.

Or you can buy a treat called Greenies from your pet store. They work wonders.

I have a dog whos breath could stop a fright train. A pet store usually has products for this problem. I found some doggie treats for bad breath and I started brushing his teeth every other day. It has seemed to help. Good Luck If you try teeth brushing be prepared for some resistance from the dog.

Your dog probably needs to have a her teeth cleaned. contact your vet for prices and availability. Smaller dogs need their teeth cleaned every 2-3 years. Larger breeds usually every 4-5 years.

go to ur local pet store and buy john pauls mint breath( around $5.00. ) this reduces bad breath and also prevents it from getting worse.
Spray it on the dogs gum's twice daily after each meal.
the dog will lick around his mouth because he/she does not like the taste but will get it around the mouth.

They make dog tooth paste and brushes...You might try that...also they make chew toys and bones to fight bad breath...Look for "Denta-Bones"...dogs love them and they help. If all else fails, talk to your vet.
