Mine were very stick! Let's just say that I had to be home before it got dark outside. I also had chores to do when I got home (including and not limited to, making dinner, cleaning the house, doing laundry...need I say more?). I wasn't allowed to sleep over at friends house and wasn't really allowed to go out with friends. The list goes on and on....
But now as an adult, I appreciate everything they did for me. I look back and think "wow, if they hadn't taught me well I wouldn't be the person I am today." I realize they didn't do it to be mean, they did it to teach me about life and choices. They taught me well so that I could live my life as a good person. That is what parents are there for, to raise you into a good person and to guide you in the right direction.
I have a wonderful husband and 2 great twin boys. I also have 2 wonderful and supportive parents and 2 great brothers that are always there for me.

Hell yeah! My mother is so closed into what she wants me to do and what I cant do, that she leaves no room to listen and observe my personality. So now, we repell and I rebell. You have to try to get your parents to understand you and listen, thats somethinig my family lacks because somebody always wants to be the one yelling, trying to get their points across. And there is definately not enough time to give me room, let me grow and experience things I should've by now. So yeah, try to talk to them, if that doesnt work, then you just have to live with em, or without em. Good Luck!

Strict.

Well...I am a parent....and I was strict when it was necessary.

Usually parents are strict when they're trying to protect you.
