My dog had puppies about 9 weeks ago and she is starting to look pregnant again I was wondering how long does it take till they go into heat again after they have puppies or are they like humans after they have babies you can get pregnant the next day???

She would have allowed another male to penetrate her after she stopped bleeding (roughly 1 to 2 weeks following delivery of the litter). So if this happened in your dogs case, she'd be having puppies again any day.
Otherwise, she'll go into heat again 6 months after the birth of the pups.
Please consider having her spayed ASAP.

NO this is completely different to a human cycle it takes another 6-7 months before they can fall pregnant again this may just be some after birth have u taken her to a vet to get her cleaned out?
and also check to see if she had given birth to all puppies?

They usually go into heat every 6 months, so a momma dog is not able to get pregnant until the puppies are about 4 months old. Rodents are the only animals that I know of that are able to conceive the same day that they have a litter.

l know you hear a lot of '''get your dog fix'''but that would be the best thing to do. l am not a dog breeder and never plan to be. l would only want a dog from a professional breeder or l will rescue one from a shelter. but it really is unfair to a dog to keep on getting bred. even if the first time was a accident a second one should not happen. we all love our dogs too. and we want to protect them. try to get your pet fix.

They need to have another HEAT CYCLE. That is usually 6 months after the puppies are born.
REALLY, get your dog SPAYED!!! They are not meant to live a life as a puppy machine!!!!!!! You don't seem to watch the dog, or there would not be a possibility that you would be thinking it was pregnant. Do it a favor and get it spayed!!

My vet told me that they're in estrus right after they give birth.
