Which branch would win?

I know the Army is larger and has newer equipment and heavier weapons, but which do you think would win.

What is this guy talking about above me. Do some research, ever seen the M1A1 Abram, the Marines have them, LAV 25 was supposed bought by the Army in the 80's but didnt want them so the marines took them and used them in Gulf war, and OEF / OIF . But then the army saw how awesome they were being used in Iraq that they bought the Striker. What a waste of money on that vehicle. Most of the marines are in the Anbar Province of Iraq which is the most dangerous while the army sits in kuwait and doesnt do jack. The only army guys that do anything are in Baghdad. What a great job they are doing there. Not to mention the Army National Guard is the biggest joke to send to a battle field. They get off the plane move in a single file line and grab there guns and equipment and dont even know how to use it. ie. the Mississippi National Gaurd. Also the marines have the smallest budget compared to all the other services and do a whole hell of alot better job then the army with there monsterous budget. So how does the Army get to other countries? Drive there? No either the air force, or like during the intial invasion of Iraq they took ships. I dont recall the army having any ships.
Army stands for "Aren't Really Marines Yet" Pal. Oh yeah remeber this????

The Army, of course. The Marines have nothing but brainwashing going for them. They are windup toys that are best off doing nothing but guard duty and looking pretty. They buy that whole "the few the proud" thing because they have to hide the fact that they belong to the Navy. The USMC is just the Navy's infnatry. The Marines lack the Army's manpower, their specialized troops, their ability to get to battle on their own (the Navy takes them everywhere they go), the Army's airpower, the Army's mechanized forces (you ever see a Marine tank?)
There are 3 Secretaries for the Armed Forces..The Secretary of the Air Force, the Secretary of the Navy, and the Secretary of the Army. No Secretary of the Marines. LIke I said, the Marines are just part of the Navy, they arent even a real branch of the Armed Forces...
Know what "Marines" stands for? My *** Rides In Navy Equipment Sir..

Marine Corps, OORAH!

The Marines get cast off Army equipment, and have less men. They still do more than the Army. My husband is USMC, his brother is Army, and his brother even concedes that the Marines are better.

Army would win hands down! ... what's funny is how Marines are brainwashed enough to be offended by the reality they would lose! Logistically there is no way the Marines could pull it off. Marines are the Army's little brother that we let think is big and bad not to hurt their feelings. Marines need to give up the talk cause no one believes it but them and should go pick on someone more there size like the Coast Guard!

How about Air Force? :(..............but, if I had to chose, I'd say both-they both have certain tactics that helps them establish themselves as excellent branches. Although, Marines are the first to fight, they both kick as s! The Marines do hold a very prestigious reputation, and any one that I know can tell you that-Marines are made of shield and bear discipline like it's their duty-it's not easy; and earning the right to be called a Marine is something to be proud of. But, Army has has it's own to be proud of too. The Army has had a rich heritage it making men into soldiers and heroes, defending America and has produced a lot of great heroes like General Douglas Macarthur. :0).

The "Devil Dogs" paws down..!! And remember in many wars, the Marines went in first and secured locations and gave the locations to the army, and moved foward and secured foward locations. But a good competetor would be the Navy seals.

umm if were talking about the entire army vs. the entire Marine corps. then the army just has to many people.........but if its a few thousand army against a few thousand Marines then its the corps no problem.........and why do people think were brainwashed just because we don't play around and get business done?

i think this is obvious....every marine is trained to shoot! only the marines train every single soldier to shoot so hands down to the marines! nothing against the army but say there are 1000 troops on each side....all 1000 marines are shooting!
