I hold a bachelor from Bible school and master degree from a well know seminary and I can assure you there is no such verse.
You can find Bible verses that were given to the Israelites telling them not to marry out side their race, but take a closer look and you will find the Israelites marrying out side their race. For example even in the family life of Jesus Christ there is Rahab, Ruth and others, all gentiles (Matthew 1:1-17).

There are a great many verses about that. It was back in Moses' days, I believe. God didn't want His people mixing with the other races because they were to be set apart. I don't believe that you will go to hell for this. Sometimes, God had them leave their wives and God had them answer for it. God is merciful. He's not going to send you to hell for marrying someone you love. I have a couple examples of where the Bible talks about marrying from different races, though, but none are in the New Testament. That I'm aware of anyway.
Judges 3:1-8 is one example.
Ezra 10:10 is another example

There is no such passage in the bible.
And that "Babel" story is a complete mythological fairy-tale -- there were already dozens of advanced civilizations on at least 3 continents at the time the "scrambling" of the languages supposedly took place, and they all already spoke different languages.
You could use some critical thinking skills, and some help with the ability to tell fiction from fairy tale. You've been told this in the South because people have prejudices and bigotry -- it's that simple.

I am sorry, no such passage exists. God does not discriminate. The Tower of Babel is in Genesis 9 or 11. He seperated the people because of sin. It was their punishment. Does that make sense?
I am sorry, the above answer is correct, but not exactly what you may have been looking for. 1 Kings 11 talks about King Solomon getting married to women who were not of Israel, and they led him astray...it wasn't referring to us today. Also Ezra 10:18-44 talks the intermarriage and Nehemiah 13, how it was a sin because it led the people astray, led them away from worshipping their God. It wasn't because God wants us to marry only within our own races. Hope this helps...Life is short, pray; HARD!

I doubt anyone told you that, I live down South, BTW, and I'm a Christian AND I'm in an interracial marriage w/ one beautiful child! Must ruin your day to read that. because all Christians have to be racist redneck biggots.
What you are thinking of are Old Testament verses that dealt with Israelites marrying foriegners who mixed their Pagan idols with the Jewish religion. It had nothing to do with race.
Romans 10:12" And the Jew is not different from the Greek: for there is the same Lord of all, who is good to all who have hope in his name:"

I have never read that. God told the Hebrews not to marry outside of their Religion. And at times He let them bring outsiders in to become Jews. I think they were of all sorts of shades of color. Guess you mean the 'south' here in America, Sort of like the Bible belt? I do not know why you are hearing so much about the subject but i warn you, you will not change their way of thinking. Be peaceful. . .

there is no where in the bible that says you shouldn't marry a different race then you. think about it, the south....the civil war, no offense, my family is from the south but some of that prestigious is still there. The bible only talks about not marry a person with a different religion not to be unevenly yoked.

I have read the bible over and over many times and it says just the oposite. the people condemed Mosses for marrying a black women. God punished them for complaining.
So he wasn't opposed to it.
Solomon fell in love with a black women who was in love with a shepard boy and didn't want to marry the king. She cried for her sheppard boy until finally the king let her go to him.
Song of Solomon
But that in no way comdemed the marriage. it just stated that true love is stronger than all the material possessions in the world that solomon had to offer. She wanted her poor little shepard boy, instead of all that wealth.

there are no verses that say that races shouldn't mix. There are commandments about JEWS not intermarrying with other tribes... but that's for ceremonial purity purposes. White supremicists and the like want to apply those laws to us... but it doesn't stick.

No direct verses, however God wasn't angry with Moses for marrying an Ethopian woman at all yet he was so furious with Aaron and Miriam that He let Miriam get leprousy
