Where do you plan to purchase your computer? Dell offers discounts that include taxes and shipping. You might check them out first before you buy. You also need to check their out of state taxes, if the company says +taxes, look for a chart for your area. Sometimes well organized sites offer a computed tax board.
If this is not available and you are having the item shipped from the East or Middle USA its best to calculate taxes at the extreme of 10% or better.

The tax will be anywhere form 6-10 percent
just take you state's tax in a decimal multiiplyed by the price=youre tax you need to pay

well it all depends where u live. the easiest way to find the tax rate for your area is to look at a recent reciept and check the price and then the total price and use cross multiplication. if u still do not understand....reply to me and tell me how much the items was marked in the store and then how much u payed for it after u bought it.

You'll have to ask the seller. If the seller is in CA or has a business presence in CA, they must charge sales tax on any sales in CA. CA sales tax rates vary from one county to the next and even some cities have a sales tax. The rate can vary from about 6.5% to 8.5% I believe.
