I experience occasional anxiety attacks, it always feels like I am going to pass out which upsets me more. I know lying down with feet up or putting your head between your knees is recommended, but this is not an option when driving or standing in a crowd. Any other ideas?

Yes I know about Xanax etc for the attacks, but right now I am trying to figure out things specifically about fainting.

concentrate on your breathing.... inhale normally then exhale counting to thirty.... slow down exhales...

Find a relaxing place in your memory and picture yourself there.

I have same problem and I try to remember everything about being on a cruise ship and relaxing in the sun.... the smells, the feel of the sun, the breeze, the taste of a nice cold beer as i sit there.... the sights...

Hopefully, if you are driving and one of these attacks occurs
you safely pull over and wait it out. I hate to think you
are risking an accident. When the room starts spinning on me
I just stand still, grab a hold of something, and lower my eyes.
I try and let my mind go blank. Usually the spinning only lasts
for less than a minute. Closing your eyes can make it worse and make you sick to your stomach. Any movement can trigger another dizzy spell. Just focus on your breathing, like keeping it
steady and normal. Once the spinning sensation starts to
subside slowly raise your eyes and look straight ahead.

Occasionally i stand up to fast, and loose my sense of all balance, and faint...i usually fall backwards, but recently i fall forward... am told its a sudden loss of oxygen to my brain,.. i feel like a vibration is happening in my thinker... like my brain is fading out...queezzie.. and am aware of beginning to fall, but dont ever know i have reach the floor or ground.
Theres a name for it...what is wrong with me,...but i dont know if thats relevant to your case, or not. See a doctor, it's not worth the compromises you'll make coping with it.
