I have battle depression since I was a teenager...first you should talk to your school guidence consular and have them contact your parents so your parents won't think your making something up like min did. Don't leave it start tommrrow to change your life, there are many medications and consulars out there that will help unlike me my parents just shipped me off to different hospital because they didn't want to deal with it. Now as an adult I have learned ways to deal with my anger and depression with out medications, you just have to find you own coping skills.

It really sounds as if you need someone whom you can confide in without the worry of having the information being tossed about lightly. Is there a school teacher, coach, preacher, or some adult in your life that you can feel confident enough to express your feelings to? If you get tongue tied, it's ok, a lot of professionals can work with written notes or letters. Either way it goes, what have you got to lose by telling a professional?? It's great that you have one friend trying to help you but, just think what more than one friend can accomplish and think of how good you could actually end up feeling. If you don't have a teacher, coach, etc. that you trust enough to confide in, then there's always the emergency room where confidentiality is a law. The dr. you see can't tell anyone else what you've told him/her and if they do, you can sue. So, it just comes down to which is worse? Feeling lousy all of the time or actually trusting someone to help you? Give it a chance. It sounds like you've already lost a lot. Why not gain something for a change? Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

The worst thing a friend can do it try to help instead of someone trained, because even professionals aren't alway so good, but they have resources. I don't know why more people don't suggest searching Answers for happiness and such, as so many question have been answered thousands of time, but I would still get on meds untill you find the joyfull things in life or just the joy of being alive. It's just that we get obsessed with the negative and all our free energy goe there. Fixate on a positive and with me the energy comes over there and I sort or decide to bag all that negative stuff. If you go to the right in your mind all on the left side is behind you and you can't even see it. Notice how the mind works, and angel sits on your right shoulder, the devil on your left. It's the half of your brain you let control. That's why the world's a mess. You can tell them this and they just haven't suffered enough to get it or listen. Hey, if your able to concentrate on something outside yourself to get more balanced or of your intuition for a minute this is kind of cute. What do you think of this. Email me, I'm like Mikie Dane, I've got all the answers or just type in a word on the search, it searches past answers. Anyway since your right side is stronger because it's controlled by the left brain with all the bad stuff in it, if you get lost in the woods you keep going left toward your weaker side or your body. Men are left brained, women seem to be also, but give their right brain more thought them men. So anyway the computer left brain people go to California on their left. The creative, artistic mystical people are in the Orient, the East. The left brain is so domineering it crossed the Atlantic to go more left which is called Right politically, because outside the brain, the right side of the body is dominated by the left brain. The right side of the brain, you've seen that deep groove down the middle in pictures? The right side is alway right, so you are obviously on the left, left behind side. Check out some of the intuitions sites where you learn to get in touch with intuiton which is right brained and believe it or not always right. Truth is stanger than fiction. Haven't you sometimes sensed the weirdness in life? We're weird. Don't have to be though.

a lot of the symptoms you describe are depression. and some of it sounds bi-polar (loose mind and get angry, violent mental thoughts, mood swings)
either of these disorders can be treated with medicine. plus you may need counseling. cutting yourself is very serious.
i'm not a psychiatrist, but i've been treated for depression since i was 15 and i swear i could write a book by now. then i was diagnosed with bi-polar a few years ago. i read up on everything i could find about it and it's not a very nice disorder. but i take meds and go to a therapist and i'm much more in control of my life. i'm only telling you my story because hopefully it will show you that with help, you can get better.
please dont be afraid to tell your parents you need help. you CAN get better. good luck to you.

You are only 15 and should get control now. You should definitely tell your parents im sure they would love to help you. Talk to a therapist i know people say they dont help but they do. I have panic attacks or had them you just have to realize they are from stress and all in your head once you feel one coming you have to tell yourself you are ok and it will get better eventually it tokk me 5 years to make mine go away. There is a really good book called Panic Attacks A Natural Approach by Shirley Trickett read it!! But you should definitely tell you PARENTS you might feel a whole lot better even after that.

Depression is very distressing and you can feel like you are spiraling out of control. It is time to find someone to help you. Telling your parents, depending on your relationship with them, is important because they can be sources of support. But, if they are hurting you or abusing you, they are not the best people to approach. Speak to a teacher (that you like the best or feel that you can trust) after class and tell them that you need help. If you are afraid of your parents, let them know that so they can protect you. You are not alone. Many people have and are still experiencing these feelings. But you can't change the way you feel without support or outside assistance. If you don't resolve these things, they can get worse or manifest themselves in other ways.
Please call this hotline for support. They can help counsel you when you feel sad or out of control. They also have information on how to get help. They are nonjudgmental and unbiased. Try giving them a call at this toll free number: Hotline for Teens who Cut: 1-800-366-8288

Okay, first of all tell some one because that's the best way to get help. Secondly, stop cutting and hurting yourself, believe me, i went through that and cutting doesn't solve anything. Put some Neosporin on those cuts to get rid of the scars. If you get mad write it down and burn it or listen to music. Try getting rest, and just be optimistic. I'm younger than you and I've already gone through this stage, it's hard at first but you'll get through it.

Tell a doctor, you sound like you might need medication. It helps a lot. A counselor might help too, or sometimes just talking to a friend or anyone you trust can help.

Is there a teacher or a clergyperson you can talk to? Or some other adult you trust? Therapy sounds like what you need.
