In the old days, they used to praise girls for waiting until marriage. Now, it seems like you're a loser if you're over 21 and still a virgin. Why?

It is still a good thing, even more now....because it is so unusual. Why should anyone give up their virginity just to not be considered a "loser"....my brothers always said they had fun with the easy trampy girls but will fall in love, marry and take good care of a virgin.....and that is just what happened. Once you give away your virginity it is gone forever.

Rushing into sex just to be cool and fit in isnt the best of ideas.
Your first time is going to have a big impct on how your sex life unfolds because sex isnt just sex - its an emotional connection between two people. It you treat it as a impersonal thing that's just about "hooking up" then you might feel like crap about yourelf down the road, because sex just becomes something you use to please people, get someone to like you etc .

I'm glad i waited till i met someone i felt it was right with. It makes a huge difference when YOU decide whether something is right for you. End of the day, just make sure you're emotionally fulfilled.

You ain't the Salvation Army, don't give it away for free :)

Whoever thinks that you're a loser for being a virgin is stupid. Just think of all the things that you've missed out on--unwanted pregnancy, std's, sex-related emotional issues etc. There's a big responsibility and consequences that go along with having sex. You only get one first time, save it for someone worthy of giving yourself to.

It's just fine to be a virgin. It is a very personal choice, and never be pressured into something you are not ready for or sure about. Never mind the comments if anyone finds out - they are only jealous of your high standards and have no other way to deal with it.- and although it isn't easy to do, ignore them and they will soon move on to someone else. Stick to what you believe, be happy with who you are and you will enjoy your life.

loser to who?? No one knows unless you tell them, except the one person who you're intimate with. That person already loves you, so who cares? What's your problem? Of course being a virgin is a good thing--you don't have to worry about AIDS or STD'S!!! It's a global epidemic that's underreported in the media.

i don't think its a bad thing. Now a days its a very admirable thing, before it was a set rule, but not being a virgin is so rampant that its seen as a hard task to do,and if you aren't you're probably ugly underneath your clothes,or very stuck up. And if you aren't your easy, its a loosing situation.

There's nothing wrong with it. It shows that you have respect for yourself and won't bow down to pressure. Besides, your future husband will be very pleasantly surprised when he finds out...
