I do have a few how did you know

OK
1. cable beach WA for resort destination
2. Couran cove - south stradbroke island (seclusion so close to the heart of the Goldy)
3. Cooktown- for the sheer historical factor, is great in that respect and for the isolation
4. Melbourne for tourism and shopping/ tassie is a close second
5. OK off the beaten track here, but lizard island or Orpheus island in Queensland, more over one of the many deserted islands on the Queensland coast that can only be reached by boat.

I think my favourite time ever was as a kid taking out the boat with mum and dad finding a great little sand island- preferably with a tree or two and having a picnic lunch, was brilliant...
have a swim in crystal clear water undisturbed by anyone else snorkel over reefs that have never seen tourism, to lie on the beach and know that ultimately you are alone but safe all at the safe time.

actually to hell with where the best place is all about the company you have with you.... seriously...

care to join me for a picnic lunch
