Simple, invest in yourself. Invest in things that make you smarter, stronger, healthier, and happier. If you do that, everything else will fall into place.

Real estate, it is a small investment and you can rent it out and let someone else make the payments. It will be a slower increase but a steady one. No real estate market goes down.
Just put down payment and clean up and your ready to let someone move in and start making your payments.
Not able to buy one in your area. Go into the real estate section of Yahoo. far left and say what price range you can afford and search the web for a state that has one in your price range.
You don't have to live there to invest there. Gives you an excuse for a vacation. Many people in Ark have sold to people in Southern California and New york. You can buy a cotttage in the woods. Just went and looked and found one it is beautiful with 3 ceiling fans just on a full front porch, 3 bedroom 2 bath on a huge place 75,000 total 15,000 down and 360. month.
You can rent anything for that much. Just south of Ft Smith AR a really big town. Those are the most secure investments around.

Invest time in the Word of God and in prayer resulting from reading the Word. There is nothing more rewarding or more life changing than that, because it is the root of knowing God, knowing truth, and then being able to do what is ultimately right and eternally rewarding.
You will not regret time spent reading and meditating on God's Word; I never have. I have, though, regretted all he times I spent playing video games, or hanging around do nothing of value. To truly be enriched by the Word, though, you must be a saved person. Even non-Christians have gained insight from the Bible (like Gandhi, for instance) but true understanding can only be given by the Holy Spirit, and to have Him guide you, you first must come to God with repentance and ask Him to save you.

Speaking of profit, Lord Jesus Christ says in the Holy Bible, “What profiteth a man if he gain the whole world but lose his own soul” (Mark 8:36).
So if the soul is eternal and indestructible, which is I am and is very different from the perishable body, I should profit by investing in any book of knowledge which guides me in getting that information. Soul is not Hindu, muslim, christian etc.., but it is the very nature of the person in the body. Body of a Hindu, muslim, christian will be destroyed, but not the immortal soul within the body. What profit one can attain by knowing this immortal soul.
Veda, a book of knowledge speak elaborately about this spirit soul. Since I, spirit soul, am to be profited by getting this knowledge, it is a great life insurance policy.

Create a religion, get tax exemption, acquire converts, accept donations (tax free), go on speaking tours to gain more converts, sleep with the attractive ones in the name of your god, when found out, claim addiction, and ask forgiveness from your god, and repeat.
