Christians, how can you tell if you or a family member is demon possessed?

You can't really tell if a person is demon possessed unless that demonic spirit reveals himself through that person - abnormal (behavior)activity (or unless that person knows that they are and tells someone), other than that they will act like a normal person. Some say if you look directly in that person's eyes (which is the windows of their soul) you can tell. But the Holy Spirit will reveal it. On the other hand there are people who are oppressed by demonic spirits. Meaning they are not possessed, but a spirit has attached itself on to them. That spirit cannot possess them b/c Christ lives in them, but because they don't realize the authority & power they have in the name of Jesus, this spirit will continue to oppress them.

You can't fight a demonic spirit physically. They will use people as puppets with the people not knowing what's going on(or even blacking out - not remembering anything). It's something that must be fought in the spiritual realm, through prayer and fasting and of course knowing how to equip yourself (spiritually).

It's real, but praise God Christians have authority & power over demonic spirits only through Jesus Christ. Read Acts 19:13-16

A demonic spirit can see in the spiritual realm, and can see whether or not you are truly a Christian or just another religious person. They can see where you are with your relationship with God or if you even have one. And if a person is not walking right with God and they try to cast out a demonic spirit, it won't happen...they will get laughed at...

If it is a baby you can just put a Bible on the ground. If the baby crawls away from the Bible the baby is likely possessed and the demon needs to be exorcized.

One should also make sure one's pets are not possessed by demons. People often forget about testing them as well.

There's no such thing as demonic possession! The Dark Ages are over, and medical science explains things that religion used to "explain". Take the family member to a doctor or a shrink, and quit spreading this superstitious crap around.

I'm a demon possessed Christian, I go to church, and worship with my heart and my body freaks out, or when I seek heaven. my head goes into a strong no shake, my arms stretch out, and angry feelings come over me. Pulls me away from God, then I just start over again. I don't know why God leaves it in me, he just said to me, with a whisper when I went to have a exorcism, MY TIME. so I have to wait...so bring him to church, if there is a demon in him he won't like it.

Drowning is a good one. Try to drown a demon-possessed person, and the demon will leave their body (or else go to hell) and possibly go into your body. If you do not feel a demon enter you, then you just drowned someone with epilepsy.
