I suffer from migraines and one trigger is tension - I get a lot of neck pain. Pay attention to your body's signals. Do you hunch your shoulders or keep your head tilted to one side for extended periods of time (like holding a phone against your shoulder)? Talk to a doctor and request a session or two with a physical therapist that can help you understand the signals your body is sending you before you experience the pain - biofeedback, etc. It really does help. Good luck!!

It sounds as though you are experiencing stress related headaches. They can involve the neck, and or feel as if you have a tight head band on.
Mine always hit my neck and shoulders as well as my head. What I've learned to do is to try to stay conscious of when I begin to tighten up my shoulders. If I don't pay attention, they'll soon be on their way up towards my ears.
If you are able to do this, and just sort of roll your head around once in a while to keep your neck loose, you will find that by doing so, it helps quite a bit.
Good luck to you on this.

Sounds like there's a possibility of tension headaches especially with the location. If it is stress that is causing them, dealing with the source of the stress would help.
Otherwise, it may actually be a sign of problems in the neck - arthritis, disc disease, etc - and treatment of that would be the likely solution.

Make sure you get enough sleep, don't go too many hours w/out eating, and drink a lot of water. Also, keep yourself calm-just in case it is brought on by stress.
