I was burning candles today, and I was worried that the smoke might be bad for my lungs. =[

Of course it is. Any kind of chemical you breath in is harmful on your lungs.

Ever wonder why people in the city who do not smoke get lung cancer? Polution...Ever see what oil does to a call, that black soot we breath that in too.

I'm very sensitive to that sort of thing and I've noticed that a regular candle, like Yankee Candle, bothers me, but if I burn soy based candles it's okay. There must be something in the smoke...

Wow, I can't believe that anyone should ask this question. If you intentionally inhale the smoke, you can put yourself in danger.

Not as bad as cigarettes since cigarettes have rocket fuel, horse poo and other stuff in them, but it's still bad for your lungs since it is smoke.

shouldnt be im always lighting candles if anything after they have bruned out or you blow them out it leaves a lovely smell. heavens knows.
