How do I make a scar fade?

I had skin tags removed by a general practioner about 3 weeks ago and I think he cut too deep and now I have scars. What are the best ways to make these fade.

Neosporin until the wound heals and then coco butter afterwards.

Rub Vitamin E oil on it. It won't make the scar go away but it will make it fade! :)
