Although its easy to answer saying I would give up anything. We will never know until time tests our ability, and God checks our willingness.

I would have a very hard time if tested, to take my child that I dearly love, tie and burn him/her as a offering to God. Now these tests happened to people in the Bible, when God tested their faith and love for Him, in various ways. Can we today clearly and truthfully say that we will do as He commands and please....very hard for all, no doubt about that.

This is where blaspheming starts with questions like these, and I'm talking politely commenting in faith and not to offend you or anyone else.

With all the laws of the land (crime/police/jail/public embarrassment), the criticism of religion and its belief(people think you're nuts).

What Christian in their right mind or with great or even little faith would deceive themselves by saying I would give all.....Be careful of what we say of Him, we will have to answer to all we say and do in our lives.

God Bless all of you! Hope you can forgive my bluntness, and be blessed.

I would say anything that He asks of me, but how us humans think is that God won't ask us to do more or give more than what we can bare. But in the act of releasing our earthly possessions we are able to be more open to His spiritual gifts which are eternal, where what most of us would find value have no value in the end and will mean nothing compared to Gods plan in our lives and to find His plan requires faith and obedience to do His will.

My house, car, money, health, and family. I would give all of those grudgingly and I'd be very, very unhappy about doing it (especially my precious family). Actually, let's be serious. I'd be despondent. But I would do it. But they would have to be forcefully taken away from me, I think. Hmm. I don't sound very enthusiastic for God about this, do I? :o)
Oh yes - I read someone said they would give their life. I would find giving my life for God SO much easier than giving my family.

If you found a great treasure you would give up anything you have to keep it---all God asks is for us to give up sin. A wonderful price to pay.

I don't know, i haven't been forced to give much up because of my faith, not kosher foods i can say i can give up with certainty, but everything else has yet to be tested. I hope that i would be able to sacrifice all of my possessions, life, family, friends, and body, but I haven't crossed that bridge yet.

Did you know that in the Bible, Jesus said you could not be his disciple if you did not honor your mother and father, hate your mother and father(not a mistranslation), hate your wife, children, everyone and even life itself. You also had to sell EVERYTHING. He actually mentions that twice.

And not much. If any, at all. So nothing. Unless he came down to Earth and granted me a wish, then I wouldn't give him jack.
