Oh wow. Now, I know why atheists have a difficult time accepting Jesus. The Religious Empires have corrupted the Bible so many times, that Jesus' actual words can only be understood by a person who has never set foot in a Church.

Intellectual honesty: Forgive them. For, they know not what they (say). They are simply repeating what they have heard from their Bubba Preachers. However, I feel that most Church Christians will stumble into Heaven in spite of their ignorance. But, like I said, their circular logic will probably never convince an intelligent atheist to even consider reading Jesus or asking for the Holy Spirit. --

I am a Christian. But, I am very wary of Bible verses that conflict with the words of Jesus. If it were not for Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to witness to us, I probably would not believe in God.

The Church was organized to spread the "Gospel" which originally meant "good message". Now, churches have instead called the Gospel "Good News" and they teach that we are not responsible for our conduct. They teach to say "Lord, lord, Jesus' death paid for our sins; past, present, and future. (No matter what we do, we will go to Heaven) -- Jesus spent all of his time teaching us how to live our lives, and how to enter Heaven - Jesus never once said, "I will die for your sins, so you can go to Heaven by worshipping me."

Intellectually Honest? Paul wasn't. And, neither are the Religious Empires that worship Paul.

sorry for the rambling

something is accessible, despite if not continually very trouble-free. i be conscious of many that have faith, yet do not call themselves Christians. Many believers at the instant are not followers of a faith in any respect. They p.c. to maintain on with the classes of the Holy scriptures and do what's righteous. What do you advise by "intellectually truthful"? i'm undecided a thank you to respond to the question without assuming which you advise something i'm thinking incredibly than asking precisely what you advise. possibly an occasion of what's and what isn't intellectually truthful might help me to respond to. Comparisons generally help to make sparkling issues. this question could have greater advantageous than one basic maximum appropriate answer for the reason that faith is a subjective subject and not undemanding to verify.

Why would you think that this is not possible? So, in order to be a Christian you are saying it is not possible to be intellectually honest? I completely disagree.
Or if I am intellectually honest, I can not be considered Christian?
I completely disagree.
I am certain there are many intellectually honest men and women out there that consider themselves good Christians as well.
In God my friend, all things are possible.

It is impossible to be a Christian without being intellectually honest.

When faced with the reality that you need a savior you have to make an intelligent decision to accept salvation or deny that you need God.

Those who deny they need God, or that there is a God are being intellectually dishonest.

I believe so, as the existence or nonexistence of God has neither been proven or disproven. All attempts to explain the physical origin of our universe remain theories, as do all attempts to define the supernatural.
The bottom line is that Christ is approached in faith, not through intellectualism.

No, that is not possible.

However, it is quite possible to be both intellectually dishonest and not be a Christian.
