My mom has it in her entire house and she loves it. The floor isn't noisy at all, she has a pad beneath. She uses a swifter and a spray she buys at Home Depot made for Pergo. The only thing I have heard is that you can not let a pool of water sit on the floor, it warps or something. All in all I have heard great things about Pergo. Lots of people have put it in themselves and said it was real easy to do.

The pergo floors are very durable. Before I installed it in a sun room with a lot of glass I was concerned about moisture from condensation affecting ti so I soaked a peace in water for two weeks to test it and it was not affected by the water.

I have had pergo floors in my room for about 4 years...they're amazingly durable and very easy to clean...i've gotten paint, nail polish, permanent marker, and about anything you can imagine on that floor and with a little water and soap it comes clean off. and the best part is you don't have to vaccum every time you've got a little mess...all you do is just sweep it up and you're good to go!

Even though somewhat harsh, Cheryl is right.
They will hold up well, as with any flooring, if never damaged, and properly maintained.
As for looking good, ehh. I have worked with many buyers, and I have never once heard them say, "Wow! Pergo Floors!" They are always dissappointed when they see them.
I would go a step up and try real wood laminate, or even better, real hardwoods. You should never go cheap on your investment.

Pergo or any other laminate is pure garbage, especially if you have children. Laminate flooring is simply a picture of a real wood glued over a man made substance, sawdust and glue. If it gets wet, it swells like a sponge. If it gets damaged, drag something across it, you have to take up the entire floor to replace that piece. It doesn't add any resale value to the home. I would never put that garbage in my home.

I had some in a house we lived in -- in the kitchen no less. They were the click-on kind (don't know the brand, sorry, but my landlord was cheap so I'd bet there were from a home-center type store) and they held up great. We just swept them regularly and wet-mopped only when they got sticky. They were extremely durable, too.

They're good for a couple of years. But if you have a high traffic area, the finish will wear right off of them and you're left with something impossible to keep clean. We're in the middle of tearing them out and replacing them in the family room, kitchen and bathroom. They REALLY hate water, regardless of what the manufacturer says. With 4 kids, 3 dogs and a bunch of cats, there's no way for them to stay nice looking. Ceramic tile's going in 2 rooms and real hardwood in the 3rd.

I really dislike them. I think they will really date a house in the future. They are also extremely slippery when wet. They do last a long time but so do just about all hard surface flooring. They can be cleaned with any inexpensive floor cleaner.

these floors are great for scratch resistance, and ez clean. my dogs don't scratch them at all, but they did slide abit at first. they don't have quite the same look as wood. cheaper ones look plastic-like. they are alittle louder than wood too. the underlayment u buy can help w/ noise. they look as good as any for years since they don't wear down. dust mop, damp mop ( no standing water on them ) and buy some generic laminate cleaner to shine them up. hope this helps.
