I am new at this computer stuff & lingo. Once I install XP will my PC be cleaned or cleared of old stuff? Also, will I loose any of my emails sent to me? How do I clear out everything on my hard drive so I know I will have space required to install XP? That is what I do to make more space?

Is this an upgrade or new install? I would write down as much information as possible. Place the Windows XP CD into the drive and reboot the PC to boot from the CD. Windows will give you the option to upgrade or new install.
