I have had a terrible migrane/neck pain but I'm unsure of the cause. It has gone on for about a week now, and it starts in my shoulder/neck area and along the sides of my head. I have a few sinus issues (anosmia or stuffy nose, perhaps), and sleep funny occasionally so I wake up with shoulder pains. But would that be enough to cause a migrane-type headache? Also, I seem to have a few current issues that make me feel an overwhelming amount of guilt. I work at home most days, am indoors a great deal, and at the computer for several hours...Any ideas as to what this could be? (I know that is not much info, but anything would be helpful at this point..)

I've never heard of a psychosomatic migraine. Usually, its stomach pain, nausea and other types of physical aches. A migraine usually lingers in the front and/or top of the head and pulsates with pressure. Sinus infections can be a culprit though, so you may want to get that checked out. Also, if you're feeling stressed, thats not necessarily "psychosomatic". Stress is a major factor in migraines. Believe me! See your general practitioner and he/she can diagnose you further. Good luck and stop worrying.

This is something you need to talk to your doctor about.

You might also work on some relaxation techniques.
Work on your issues. Get some good exercise.
