The idea that God is loving, or anything else, are assumptions of men....who try to associate God with human attributes. Nobody knows God. Those who say they do are delusional.
Adam and Eve are fictional characters found in a flawed, man-made book.

GOD IS A PERFECT GOD. HE IS PURE. HE IS ALL.
Doyou think He isgoing to ask for less than that to barely make it to be by his side?

Because sin would be passed down to all humanity. And that is the stain that God saw happening and for which he got rather angry (humanity disobeyed God since satan lured Adam and Eve). God is forgiving! THAT IS WHY HE SENT HIS SON, TO SAVE YOUR NECK FOR THE SINS YOU'D COMMIT.

So he is forgiving for had he not done that we all wuold be doomed!

GOD IS A LOVING GOD, if you follow all his commandments to the tee, you will see GOD'S REWARDS.

The one trying to convince you that God is not a loving God, is satan fyi!

So do not be fooled. Search for John Hagee from Cornerstone ministries , he will explain this to you a lot better than I.

However I could say the same thing ou are, but I dont, because my God has granted me many miracles including a very long life with a n incurable genetic illness. Most have died with what i have (c.f.) and yet I am here in my 40's and still alive. I have seen so many miracles that I just could not see God as an unloving God.

HUMANS ARE HORRIBLE i hate to say it
because the devil tempts them, at that prospect, God had to make humanity decide
ARE YOU FOR ME OR AGAINST ME?

That is your inheritance to salvation , even if we have inherited the original sin.

LOVE YOUR GOD
FOR HE DOES LOVE YOU
and beware of satan
for he hates you and wants to make sure you dont win the battle and go down under, not up above.

Adam and Eve CHOSE to sin.

God can have nothing to do with sin.

God = Purity and Perfection.

Sin = The opposite of the above.

God warned both Adam and Eve of the "bad" fruit hangin' off the "bad" tree. Yet Eve decided to fall into the temptation of a serpent (the devil) and from there she got Adam to play along.

Thus, they chose to sin. They chose to put distance between Love and Humanity.

From there forward all of humanity is born into sin. Thus, sin is part of our nature.

We all have the ability to one day snap and murder people. We also have the ability to care for and love one another.

So. Let us reexamine this for a moment.

God is purity thus cannot have anything to do with sin.

Sin nature exist in all of us by birth.

So God can love day and night. He just cannot have relationship with those whom have yet to accept that great middle man he gave us. You know the one. Jesus Christ.

Yep. That is our go to guy if you want to have a relationship with God. Granted, Jesus is God and God is Jesus. So it can confuse people at times.

I guess the thing that breaks the confussion...

When you accept the fact that you are a sinner yet you truly by the core of your heart want to change your ways. You then "prove" to God that you are willing to make a change in your life. With the goal of forming a strong relationship with him.

God is about the heart and relationship. Once your heart is for him and you work at a relationship. You are still a sinner. But a sinner who longs for relationship in the one true God.

K.

You say that you thought God was a forgiving God. I don't think that you think this at all. You have an idea on how you want to live your life and it does not include God. So you look to say anything you can to discredit God so that you can feel better about your choices, when in fact you know nothing about God. I pray that you will one day find the Lord before it is too late, because one day everybody will answer to God for the way they lived their lives on earth.

He is a loving God to all who seek Him as their God. He has forgiven all of us who want Him as our Father by means of His own plan in His Son.

All people will be judged on their OWN works. All those who have either led a completely perfect life, without any sin, ever, OR those who seek and receive complete forgiveness through the sacrifice of Christ are not going to be punished.

There are many attributes of God. He is loving and forgiving, but he is also a just God. If he doesn't do everything He says He would do than He wouldn't be God. His love comes out in providing a way of salvation through Jesus.

We are no longer being punished for Adam and Eve's sins. That is why Jesus died on the cross, to settle our debt to God. The evil that we experience is NOT God, it is because the devil is here to kill, steal and destroy.

If you accept the substantial evidence that there is no god, there were no adam and eve, and hence no "original sin..."
Then you don't have to worry about ancient superstitions running your life. You can make decisions about morality based on humanity's needs, and not on what some mythological, magical, made-up god is supposed to have said to somebody at some time eons ago.

Christians seem to *enjoy* the whole, "we're bad, we're nothing, we're worthless, we're sinners" thing that their religion teaches them (despite none of it having any evidence of being true)...a bunch of closet masochists? :(

Back in the day churches would preach that god was an angry fellow. You had to follow thing to the letter of be damned for all eternity.
It was only recently that god was described as a loving fellow who just wants you to do your best and love each other.
