You can easily find info at www.letour.fr and get all the route info.
Personally, now that Basso AND Levi Leipheimer are with Discovery, they have a very good chance of getting the overall. Maybe Ulrich is still strong, but missing a Tour at his age might be brutal. I think Vinokourov is still in the running, however.
Now if **** Pound can keep his WADA Nazis and the French Underground from ruining another Tour, it should be a good race!

Hmm, i can get maximum of them... The riders get 2 days' relax during the 20 point race (21 in case you count selection the prologue), yet on their relax day they nonetheless trip their motorcycles to maintain their bodies as much as velocity. The excursion de France began in 1903 by way of Henri Desgranges so as to sell the interior of reach newspaper, l'Equipe. It became into formed off of the favored six-day races, and had basically six tiers of three hundred+ kilometers each. the assumption became into that the winner may well be the single rider that actual finished the entire ingredient. Lance Armstrong has the main universal TDF wins at 7, and under him are a handful of riders with 5 wins each. a variety of is Eddy Merckx, a Belgian rider who has the main yellow jerseys and is arguably the ideal motorbike proprietor interior the history of the sport. Even Lance will inform you that! On undemanding, a professional motorbike proprietor burns approximately 5,000 to 9,000 energy per day using the excursion. It varies with the terrain, and the main everyday motives for a rider to desert the race are crashes and digestive problems. it fairly is totally confusing for the human physique to assimilate and use that plenty power on a daily foundation, so each thing they consume is as calorie dense as achieveable on an identical time as nonetheless being actual digestible. exercising inhibits digestion and vice versa, so which you will see that how this may well be a controversy. as an occasion, for breakfast a rider could consume a 6-egg omelette observed by way of a bowl of muesli cereal and a huge plate of pasta (sufficient to maintain a common guy or woman finished all day long). they consume consistently for the period of each point to maintain their blood sugar ranges extreme, and there's a "feed zone" interior the direction of the point the place they seize musette luggage finished of pastries, puddings, gels, power bars, centred fruit drinks, nuts, and cola. it is all I actual have off the best of my head.

If he races, Vinokourov has a good shot. His team might not be invited to participate, though. If Basso participates, it will be interesting to see what he does. Assuming that he does participate, he will most likely win. But, if doping controls work, then it's hard to say who will win this year. If the Tour actually is "clean" (which is highly improbable) we could see some new champions this year.

This will give you all the info you need.
As for my tip - i am a huge Vino fan, but now Kloeden has joined his team i think they will work for him. Just like at T mobile - exactly what is happening now with Michael Rogers.
Basso has a real shot at it - if they let him race.
But my money will be on Valverde - he crashed out last year after he touched wheels with a team mate and broke his collarbone. He withdrew the year before that with a hand injury, so i reckon he will have a point to prove. Plus he beat Lance in a mountain stage in 2005 and won the pro tour's leading rider last year so he has definitely got what it takes!!
Let's wait and see!!!!

I vote Basso...if he's allowed to race. He can climb and he's improving his time trialing.
I followed the tour around 2 summers ago for about 6 stages -- best vacation of my life!

It's up for grabs. I've watched the Tour since the Hinault/Lemond years. The drama was always there. It's just too bad it's now a dead sport. I doubt anyone can take it seriously again.

If Basso is allowed to race, I like him or Vinokourov. It should be wide open.

Ivan Basso will win, if he's allowed to start.

And, given the drug testing, it's anyone's guess this year. Not saying that previous winners might've had help, just sayin.....
