Why? And why does he always end up getting his way? Lights on make me feel uncomfortable about my imperfections, why is he so insistant about having them on???

Because he wants to see you...duh! It's like a porno flick in the flesh. Instead of being so self-conscious you should be flattered by it. Those "imperfections" are probably turn-ons to him. The problem here is your poor self-image and you need to get over it. My body is far from perfect, but I love lights-on sex. A woman who is confident and comfortable in her own skin is way more attractive than any super-skinny totally unattainable media image that we women think that we should be.

Guys are very visual we like to see the acton as it happens. I could tell you that what you see as imperfections he does not see them. trust me I have been with women in the past where I was the one insisting on having the lights off. But in the end he likes to look at you when you have sex. But if you have the lights on and you are uncomfortable then it is not as enjoyable for you. As such this goes over to the overall experience the both of you will have. if you are not relaxed then you are not able to give and enjoy 100%. You could possibly try this. Turn the lights out and have oral with him. Once you feel him getting aroused then have sex. Trust me if you are able to get him excited with oral with the lights out then he will not want to turn them on when the main event begins. You can aslo try being the dominant one on occassion where you are in charge and he has to do as you say. Then you would be in control of the lights. then on other occassions let him have the lights on. Then you could always simply withold sex from him. If he wants the lights on then you simply say fine and tell him to have fun by himself. Not that I am advocating this approach but it should prove effective for you.

Probably because he likes to look at you. He might not think you have many imperfections. Could the 2 of you compromise and have dim lighting?

try using candles strategically placed around the room that give an appearance but still its dark, but if he like it with the lights on maybe he is trying to tell you that he likes you as you are, men are visual creatures they are turned on by what they see or visualize
so if he likes you the way you are work together to come up with a compromise on the lights(candles.dimmer switch) and work on becoming more accepting of who you are,a beautiful sensuous lady with imperfections, they are a beautiful part of who you are

men are visual creatures. sounds like he doesn't find any imperfections in you and enjoys looking. maybe he wants to see your face and the expressions you are making. tell him if he gets the lights on this time, you get them off the next time. if he doesn't agree, maybe he's a bit of a control freak or he just likes looking all the time.

Because men are visual. Looking is very important for them to get aroused, just like smelling. For women, hearing (compliments and nice words, i.e.) and touching (being touched) do the work better.
If he wants to see you, that means he doesn't mind your imperfections, so what do you have to worry about?!. Everyone has imperfections and they don't make us less attractive.
Relax. You can always ask him to alternate - sometimes his way, sometimes your way.

Because he doesn't see your imperfections he sees your PERFECTIONS! He wants to look at your awesome body, why reject him? Men are more visual then woman, so this helps him out too. I know you might be shy but realize that you don't need to put on a show, he's the audience and he's already pleased. Do it for him, he'll love it, let yourself go you having nothing to fear but fear.

Because guys are visual and like to see everything. Maybe you could have a compirmise and have a night light or a silk hankkie over the lamp(s) to create a sexy mood. Talk to him and let him know how you feel and explain your uncomfortable. Hopefully, he will understand and let you know that he likes your body how it is.

he has accepted you for who you are and those imperfections are like beauty trades to him. he probably feels like he wants to see the expression on your face when he makes love to you and wants to look into your eye and see the love that he knows you both share.
i think you should learn to accept your imperfection and believe that they are a part of what make you special.
you are trying to please him and so he has things his way. that can slowly change if only you say whats on your mind about things.
