I'm 20 and in college, so there are many girls around...
I've been on one date in my life, never had a girlfriend, and I'm NOT ugly.

No, winking is too....euck. First off, a girl doesn't know if he's winking at her because he's flirting, or because he has something in one eye. Then, the wink is kind of out there and unsexy, like a wolf whistle.

This is good that you are trying. Yes wink but not all the time and don't be weird. Also ask some one to go with you to a group thing. Remember you aren't asking to marry them and if they turn you down or take you up it's not personal. Good luck!

Winks are so overated... they went out some time in the 80s, like high fives.... Also, winks make you look retarded and arrogant, something that girls dont like. If you want to make a girl like you, you've gotta know what you want and be determined.

Well, you could start with a wink, and then start talking to her.
But definentely dont just wink and expect her to make a move.
Only once or twice with different girls is fine.
I hope you get more successful in the future.
;)

Make it subtle, and then it will be a good way to flirt. Just don't distort your face trying to do it. and try not to act cocky while you're doing it.

Why don't you move your eye brows up and down to her, and smile? That happened to me recently and I almost cannot concentrate on anything other than the look he gave me. Wow, it was thrilling to me. Be bold it is a turn on.
