I agree that we cannot stop global warming. But to be better to the environment, we should ALL use less resources.
I have changed many of my light bulbs to that kind that is 5 year long-lasting and like a curly fluorescent.
Take a fabric grocery bag when you buy stuff and ask the clerk to fill it instead of the plastic ones.
Make sure that all lights are off if you leave a room for more than one minute.
Turn off computers at night.
Stop running water when you brush your teeth and don't run water to rinse dishes, fill a bowl instead.
Hot water uses MUSH of your bill, so take short showers and wash clothes in cold if possible. Dry clothes on the wooden racks that can be moved outside on sunny dry days. Or washing lines. My boys want their jeans to be soft, so when the jeans are dry (and stiff!!) I let them pop them into the dryer on fluff for 5 minutes.
Borrow book=s from the library and share tools with a relative or friend. One chain saw can be used by 5 families I bet!!

there are many things you can do.
Buy hybrid cars and make sure your old car has good emissions. Use more efficient electronic appliances like refrigerators. Reduce the number of TVs in your household. Instead of driving a long distance to see your relatives that live in another state, consider taking a flight, this could make it cheaper too. Stop burning fire wood in the fireplac`e and use an electric heater instead. Get rid of the republicans, support n on-profit organizations like green peace, etc, etc

Plant trees which will absorb the carbon that you emit. Turn appliances of at the wall, rather than leaving them on stand by, walk instead of driving short trips or catch public transport. A big thing you can do is promote more sustainable living to other people you know. Get other people to plant trees etc.

Switch to hydrogen power, from EVAPORATED WATER. No pollutants, no greenhouse gasses.
Millions of tons of crap DAILY into the atmosphere is nothing to sneeze at. Pun intended.
We are screwing ourselves over for a buck.
Shooting ourselves in the herd.
Stepping on our own ducks.
Cutting off our nose to spite our finch.
Kicking ourselves in the aardvark.
We're ruining it for everybody and everything, and people who can't accept it are three fries short of a Happy Meal.
Have a nice day.
