No, we respect religion, we just choose not 2 believe in it. We don't believe in any the religions in the world and think that there is no supernatural force that supposedly created the human race. I don't think that there is a book on atheism, but I'm sure that plenty of ppl on here will tell u all about it.

Hello Friend,
I'm an Atheist, and have been so since i was 17 years of age. To answer your Question, Atheism does not respect religions that cause chaos and cause death and suffering to innocent people. it also doesn't respect religions that get in the way of human scientific progress.
Atheists do not believe in the existence of Gods. they believe in science as the source of all truth. and believe in the power of the mind that can ask the right questions and get the right answers back using logical sense.
For more information i suggest that you read about Richard Dawkins, I'm very sure that you will find his advice very helpful to understand Atheism.
I have provided two links to some websites that you might find useful.
Good luck :)

Atheism is one thing and one thing only: The lack of belief in any or all deities.
An individual atheist may respect a religion or make consider it total garbage -- but believes all theistic religions are wrong.
Atheists do not believe in any god or goddess at all.
Atheism does not have any rule books as it is not an organzied religious system. Technically, atheism is the absence of religion.

Atheism is not a religion. There aren't rituals, rules, or dogma. It is the lack of religion. Thus, people choose all sorts of paths. Atheists have written books, but these are personal opinion. There is no "right" way to be an atheist. Some atheists respect the religious, some think that religion is evil.

Atheism is looked down upon by the religious groups. It is supposed to be a sin to be one.
But they are very intelligent people, with a brain. You cannot shovel dirt down their throat, just because you are sitting in a church, temple or a mosque.
They do not believe that there is a thing called God, because nobody has seen him nor talked to Him, except in religious fiction books. They think that God did not create Men; but Men created God to exploit the innocent and the poor.

Right there is no god. Atheism isn't a religion so there really isn't a code of conduct or any set book. Dawkins is the guy that everyone seems to be reading currently if you want to learn about it.
Here are some websites too:

Yes, we do not believe in a god or gods. I can't speak for all atheists, but I respect others religions. However, I do not respect people infringing on my rights with their religion. Like wanting to makes laws based on their religious beliefs.
Read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins. A very good book.

Atheism is not a religion. There is no initiation rite or ritual or ceremony. It's just not having belief in gods. And as mentioned earlier, it's everyone's personal opinion. Some think religion is evil, while others respect it.

Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of any deities, meaning all gods. Many atheists share common concerns regarding supernatural claims, citing a lack of scientific evidence (creationism, for example.)
I guess if you wanted some information on atheism, a good place to look would be www.atheists.org
It's the website for American Atheists.

Atheism is about not believing in a Creator or Higher Power. It has nothing to do with disrespecting any religion. Individuals do that, but not Atheism.
