Culture is based on the what the sinful nature of man believes. Thus, a person without the viewpoint of God would say results, as "whatever gets the job done" is good enough for him. This is why you see so many people trying to do things for God, but they don't do it the way God intended. What does God value more? Always obedience to Him. It comes before how many conversions you get, or how upright you might look to everyone else.

Deuteronomy 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:

Deuteronomy 27:10 Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

Joshua 24:24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

1Peter 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

There are many more verses that support this thought, but these are just a few ones that seem to clearly support this truth.

God values obedience. A human father properly expects his word to be obeyed or carried out by his children. How much more so our heavenly Father rightly requires obedience. Read 1 Samuel 15:22.

I think our culture values obedience more than results. I think God values results (i.e. what you gain internally from your life and spirituality).
