figure out what iswrong, since she is hanging around with your older sister, go and talk to her to see if she knows what is going on, if not go out together like to the mall to see a movie or something and get in good with her ,but don't pry too hard or she'll catch on, just be nice and wait to see if she opens up. But don't say things like "You know you can tell me anything" because then she won't. If it gets really bad, see if any of her friends have changed, start paying attention to her life more and you should pick up on it.

I got a sister too, who sometimes looks like a stranger at home. Sometimes I feel like losing her, like if she just prefers expending time with other people rather than with her family. Getting to know what is inside a person's heart is really difficult, just like trying to grab something out of deep waters. If you don't dare to ask her, or if you think that she is not going to be sincere with you; well, you can prepare the moment to talk by doing things for her; like asking about her day or sharing with her some news; all you can do to make her feel that your love is real. When the moment finally comes to talk, just talk with your heart and make her know that you are really interested in her feelings and in the wellness of the family.
I hope you can resolve this.

If your sister is going through a tough time right now, she may be turning to your older sister for counsel. Be glad that she has someone older to talk to. When things get worked out and she feels better, I'm sure she'll start hanging out with you again.
In the meantime, take her aside and tell her you miss having time with her. She may not realize it's bothering you.

She is obviously having problems with your mother. Or has concerns about your mother.
If you are close with your mother, she would not feel comfortable confiding in you as she may feel that you will go back and talk to your mother about it.
She may think that you will not understand, or that what she has to say may upset you.
Going through her files is wrong. If she does not want to tell you, that is her business.
Why not try proving to her that you are trustworthy. Let her know that she can confide in you.
Remember. If you do manage to convince her to confide in you..... NEVER break that trust. NEVER EVER!!!
If you break that trust, it will be very hard to get it back, and you will cause some long lasting damage to your relationship with her.
Trust her decisions. If she doesn't think you can hanlde knowing what she has to say... she may be right.
Be careful of what you ask for.

Even get your mom and big sister into this and see what the hell is going on. You should do it quickly though before something stupid happens.
Good Luck.

Do you know the old saying "if you go looking for something, you will fine something", everything in due time, stop sneaking around looking for something that might not be there. If it was for you to know, you would know it, don't beat yourself up over something you probably have no control over. God Bless.
