The best advice I can give you is to endure the pain, it will go away soon, don't worry. Be stronger than pain, but if you cannot handle it, then it would be wise for you to take some pain killers or Panadol, Tylenol or any pain medication that you can get your hands on. Check out the websites below, good luck.

Sometimes because the pain is soooo bad, you are going to have to forget about brushing. Make sure you rinse very well with the Listerine. If you can stand it, try swiping the toothbrush over the teeth very lightly, some is better than none, right? You do what you can, don't make yourself miserable. It won't hurt to skip just a couple brushings as long as you rinse, just don't make a habit of it. Good Luck!

I'm sure you are just sore from the wires being adjusted. I really doubt the elastic will come off. Just brush slowly but thoroughly so it isn't too painful. If it is still sore in a week or so, consult your orthodontist.
Hope I helped!

Hi there! I actually have braces until now. You may use dental floss aside from mouthwash(listerene will do just fine). It hurts especially during my first week but do not worry, that is normal; the suceeding week teeth will not hurt anymore. I have my teeth braced up and down. Check my friendster acct. Jethro_Ville@yahoo.com to see my pictures teeth with braces.

No no no no no no no! It's even more important to brush while you have braces on than when you don't. I know, it hurts, but you just gotta tough it out. Really sorry! Try motrin!
