Like there is this girl I keep seeing in the library. And she is really attractive and I just dont know how to approach her and what to say. I dont want to be akward about it, I know that first impression is everything.

The best thing to do, I think, is to make eye contact with her, smile and say "hello." Simple as that.
Don't think about what is going to happen after that. If she wants to talk more, she will. If not, continue to say hello to her when you see her and if something develops from it, great.

Yes impression is everything. Why don't you just tell her you would like to take her to dinner. Did you know how attractive a man is when he is honest, upfront, and tells you rite away what he wants?

ask around if any of your friends know her. that way you can get to know her. or if you want to do this on your own ask her if she needs help with something and take it from there.
