Every hair on your body grows back regardless of what you do to it (except laser removal or balding).

And shaving hair does NOT make it grow back thicker, faster or darker, that's 100% myth, it just seems that way because the hair is growing out exactly the same thickness and darkness as when you cut it. Think of it this way, if you took a strand of hair on your head and cut it in half, does it change the way it comes out of your scalp? No. And that's essentially what you're doing when you shave hair on your face or anywhere else, you're just cutting it in half.

If you want the hair to grow slower, you need to wax it and rip out the whole hair by the root. Then it will need to start growing from scratch all over again and will be lighter and finer.

There's not much you can do to make it grow faster except have a healthy diet (what you eat effects how everything on your body grows) and keep it clean and untangled (or it will break), and cut off split ends (or it'll split all the way up the strand and break) - (head hair only). When it comes to facial hair, if you keep shaving it, it will give the illusion that it's actually darker and thicker since you would be cutting off the thiner, finer part of the hair.

ANGEL is wrong. Maybe in her experience it hasn't grown back thicker or longer, but for MOST people it does. It doesn't matter how old you are. My brother is 26 and started shaving the 5 hairs on his chest a last year because he wanted more hair. It's already growing back thicker and he's probably got over 30 hairs now. LOL. I'm serious though, everybody I know that shaves anything has that happen. I was married to a marine also, and ask any man in the military who DIDN'T have hair before they were "forced" to shave every day in boot camp. They'll tell you.

I FEEL OBLIGATED TO CORRECT THIS DEBATE. SHAVING DOES NOT CAUSE HAIR TO GROW MORE OR DARKER OR THICKER OR LONGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT IS WHAT IS CALLED AN OLD WIVES TALE ---- LIKE HAIR KEEPS GROWING WHEN UR DEAD !!!FALSE!!!

WHEN ITS CUT.. AND STARTS TO GROW OUT IT FEELS PRICKLY BECAUSE IT IS BLUNT........ THAT IS NOT NORMALLY HOW A HAIR GROW... SO IT TENDS TO FEEL THICKER. BUT UNLESS U ACTUALLY CHANGE YOUR DNA, HORMONES, OR SOMETHING IT WILL NOT CHANGE!!!!

THIS IS A RUMOR CAUSED BECAUSE PEOPLE GENERALLY START SHAVING IN THEIR EARLY TEENS BEFORE THEIR HORMONES ARE IN FULL THROTTLE... SO PEOPLE THINK THAT BECAUSE BETWEEN 12-20 THERE HAIR ON THEIR LEGS/FACE CHANGED IT IS DUE TO THE SHAVING WHEN IN FACT IT IS NOT....
