Almost any shade of really dark blue (navy, dark royal...) will create a gorgeous contrast with copper. Anything in the red, orange or yellow family will not offer enough contrast to properly showcase your "copper thingys". Alternately, a creamy but neutral off-white would work well as well if you are opposed to going too dark (go to www.glidden.com and look at either a colour called Manilla Tan or Mushroom Cap -- both should work with copper). Good luck!

I personally would go with a mocha wall and goldenrod trim it is so pretty. I have a huge master ensuite bathroom so I needed somthing to make it cozy but give it the same pop.
Just a hint: when ever trying any color choice take something with you that has your desired color in it i.e. pillow, fabric or in your case something copper.
Having these items all together will help you keep your mind at ease and your color will come to you faster. I hope you take something copper and try some color samples at your paint store. Good Luck

Well, when copper oxides, it gets a layer of verde gris (which I can't spell) on it. So any type of warm green goes well with bright copper..like a sage or an olive green. Any green with too much brown in it will end up working against the color of the copper and make it look muddy.
Also, any rich red, like a dark scarlett, but not a burgundy, will also work.

How about a rich warm brown, or a dark burnt orange colour. These colours will accent the copper wall hangings. It will bring out the coppers natural colours

I like creams if I feel like playing it safe and taupe/brown. If you feel wild, try a light blue. But think of something mediterranean or tuscan patterned... olive green, copper, black and rust combined. I've seen rugs like that in Target and thought they were gorgeous. Good luck! Sounds really nice!

I'd suggest a warm color, try a crimson or maybe if you do a little antiquing to the wall.

Rustic colors. Burgundy, Deep Orange, Deep Olive, try looking at a couple of pics of spices, they are perfect colors and your hallway will look classy.
