I know of that shampoo...but I don't know big details. I'm wondering if maybe the shampoo itself had some color pigments in it, that's y I guess they call it "brilliant brunette" and it's "supposed" to keep your color. I wouldn't think that this made some of your mom's color wash in an instant. however, it's not a good shampoo in general, and you would be better off in the long run with a professional brand shampoo and conditioner to keep the color and integrity of the hair. of course I don't approve of the use of box color either-it should all be left to a pro! :) then the hair will feel really great and your hair really will be it's healthiest and less color fading.

There is shampoo for colored hair. i use that and the conditionar
for my highlights
that is the extra dye that you are see in wash out. if you notice it happen a second type then it is fading. use a mild shampoo.

next time do not wash afterwards, waite until the next day. sleep with a old towel in case some color rubs off.

What ever color u get when u first dye it... will usually lighten about a shade sometimes more.... But a GOOD color shampoo and conditioner will help......... Redkin Color Extend is my favorite... And I have red highlights which is the worst color for fading
