I am a type 2 diabetic and I am getting a tatto that will take 3 sittings. Should I wait an additional week or 2 between sittings to allow for proper healing due to my diabetes? My sugar levels are 70-80.

I've got 6 tats now but they were all several months apart. This is the first one I've gotten that took more than one sitting.

talk to the doctor. he/she would know the best. if you feel as though you need an extra week, then why not give yourself some time?
have you gotten any tats before? if so, judge based on that one. if you haven't, DEFINATELY talk to a doctor.

good luck, hope you can get one!

You should wait for it to heal, one because it's a little more healthy that way, and two it hurts really really badly when you get a tattoo in the same place and it's not done healing. And it can also mess the tattoo up a bit if you're not careful. Wait until it's finished itching and peeling, that's usally when the healing is finished. One word of advice though... lubriderm. Lots of it. Keeping the tattoo moist after getting one done is a good way of helping it heal, and not peel so much so you keep the color. Hope that helped.

you have to wait til the first part finishes healing. that can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on how your body heals. i've had tattoos heal in 5 days and others take 2 weeks. so as soon as your scabs are gone (which is when its healed) call up and schedule your second session! good luck!

you only have to wait until the tattoo is healed. if your skin takes longer to heal then you should wait. but if the tattoo is healed in the normal amount of time there shouldn't be a problem with going back to get more.

it shouldnt make any difference, just come prepared. i wouldnt wait but then again i havent had multiple sittings for one tattoo, i try to get them done in one sitting if the artist is willing to do one for that long. just come prepared and you should have no worries

ask your doc and your artist, maybe find an artist that is also diabetic. eat some sugar during the tatts. keep your insulin checked. other than that, you should be fine.
