Oh God yes! I am extremely shy, and it stops me from talking to girls I like because I'm not that popular and it's about a 99.9 % chance that they'll reject me. Since I'm so afraid of rejection, it keeps me from talking to girls.

Sounds like you are being mean to yourself. Dont you deserve to be happy? Shyness can get in the way of having a life. Only you can change that. No-one will do it for you. You are on your own with this one. There are ways to make your feelings known . How about just inviting that special person out for coffee, something simple. Let them no that you are shy. Some people find that sweet. Sure beats some loud mouth jerk, I love a shy person. It lets me be a tiger. lol

Being shy is better than being bored. A person who is bored is boring to be around. A shy person offers hope. Shy sometimes just means quiet. I know a friend who says very little. He is retiring, and almost shy. He has strong charisma. I am very fond of him. He would be absolutely absurd if he tried to be other than who he is. Shy can also mean cautious. Shy can be a disguise for discerning. Shy people are often extremely intelligent, too.

In a sense yes it is a disability. I am a 34 year old virgin because I was shy. I have just now begun to date and approach women. You have to get over this shy thing as soon as you can. Don't let it do to you what it did to me.

No,Its not.. I used to be the most shy person you could meet!! I could not even greet somebody and I'd blush so badly that I would want to pass out... untill the age of 19... It all of a sudden left me... Now I'm braver, confident etc... Don't worry, its only temporaly.... If not, bite your teeth together everytime u shy, deeeep breathe and just say it...who cares...F*&ck everyone... You will be the better person...
Good luck friend...xx

If you really want to talk to someone figure out what they like to do and talk to them about that. It's easy example if you know they play sports ask them how the game went?
If they work same place pick out something at the work place and ask them a question about it. Get the conversation going by being interested in what the other person is interested in.
Be polite, and honest with your conversation and each time you talk will get easier
Good Luck!

It's only a disability if it stops you from doing things. Don't worry- shy's ok.

It can be a disability as when you get older you realise that.

You only regret what you didn't do.

Take the chance and ask you have nothing to lose!!

Trust me!!
