"sue" is the perfect employee when the boss is around.first 1 to volunteer for extra work(for the boss),stays late to help the boss, always agrees with the boss, laughs at everything she says.sue even helps her outside of work(house hunting, man hunting)anything the boss wants she does basicly kisses her a---.now when the boss leaves its a different story.sue will spend all her time on the phone, will make me deal with any difficult clients, and will never do any "favors" for me.now the worst part is she will "throw me in" to the boss.for example some papers got lost and our boss asked her if she had seen them.sue told her i was the one to have them last.true or not(i dont think i had them)why would she throw me in like that?she does this all the time.when i asked her why she did this she looked at me snotty and said "well you did!" and walked off.i'm a single mom so i can't leave right now and talking to my boss will not work as they have become "great freinds"

Start looking for another job and when you find one give notice. If the boss wants to know why, be truthful. If for some reason you must stay there, just learn to deal with it. Really, though, I would just start searching for another job, there are others out there.

I'd suggest you be very nice and friendly to your boss, do your job well and let your bitchy coworker just be her awful self. Most people tend to look more favorably on people who are real! Which it sounds like "sue" isn't. Your boss may be taking advantage of all the kissing up right now but in the long run, when it comes to respect, I'm sure you'll be the one in the best light. It may take awhile but her true light will show, especially if she's slacking on her work. When she blames something on you, then just tell the boss the truth. When the boss starts to see different stories being told she might wise up. Hopefully things work out for the best... but if they don't then I'm sure you can still handle it. As a single mom I'm sure you have the tenacity to stick with it. Sometimes jobs suck, sometimes they keep sucking and we're meant for better things... and then sometimes they take a turn for the better. No matter what you won't be stuck with bitchy "sue" forever! Good luck!

If you can't beat them , join them. I hate to say it but you are going to have to start playing the game better than "sue', make sure your there earlier, work harder and let your boss know you can't find important papers that sue had last before she does it to you.also maybe you could mention that sue seems to like the bosses new boyfriend just a little too much . nothing will wreck a friendship quicker than even a hint of man-stealing. do not be afraid to fight dirty, its a dog eat dog world out there!!!!

I would try talking to my boss and ask that he keep the conversation between the two of you. There is a chance that he will see the situation on a professional level and take ur concerns seriously as opposed to just seeing it on a more personal level, you talking about his "great friend." I would even make a point of saying, this is nothing personal, just a professional concern.

Go above her. Your boss must have a boss.
