well, no house is complete without a fridge. so you kinda needed it. just find a friends truck and borrow it, or get it sent to you. but if both are too expensive, ask friends or family if they can help you pick it up. your boyfriend has no right to get mad. everybody needs a fridge in their house.

That is a decision that two people moving in together usually make together.

It is wise to tell him. Then you can decide what to do, if it is even workable to pick it up or if you need to consider retracting the bid.

Decisions about major appliances, cars and such big purchases that affect both persons in the relationship are best made together. That will avoid redundancy (both of you getting a fridge) and complications (how to get it home).

If he gets mad, so what. It's all manageable. If he becomes unreasonably angry or abusive, it would be a good time to reconsider the move.

Did it say you had to pick it up ? If you are
in a serious relationship, don't start lying to
him. Tell him your problem so he can help
you solve it. You'll feel better in the end.
He may find out anyhow, and think if she
hid this from me WHAT ELSE IS SHE HIDING ?

Do you have a family member with a car they could lend you? Maybe you could ask, anyways keep your eyes on the bid.

P.S. It may be a good idea to tell your boyfriend, your decision on that one.

unless you can have someone help you.....take your bid off. By the time you rent a truck it won't be a cheap refridge any more!

Find a friend's truck that you can borrow and THEN tell your boyfriend. He can't get mad if it's something that you truly needed!

You don't have to pick it up, they mail it to you and a truck delivers it to your house.
