Raw (uncooked) bones are generally safe for dogs to consume. Cooked bones on the other hand can lead to problems. If the bone was cooked, keep an eye on your dog for the next day or two to make sure he is okay, and if there are any changes in behavior...not wanted to eat, acting depressed, etc, take him to a vet ASAP.

You don't say whether it was cooked or not but if he's a big dog he should be fine. I'm guessing on size as you say he swallowed it whole. I'd keep a close watch on him though and any sign of discomfort take him to the vet!
The chicken wing should not have been given to the cat unless it was raw, cooked bones can splinter and pierce stomach intestines etc. and you may end up taking the cat to the Vet instead.
Why were you daft enough to give the cat chicken where a dog could get it too? Dogs in the wild may eat the bones of smaller things like chicken but they don't wait for anyone to cook them do they?
Never feed either with bones from anything home cooked. If you have to give bones to your dog give cooked bones from a pet suppliers. They are cooked longer and are usually the bigger leg bones of beef and pork! That makes them less likely to splinter! Or debone before cooking.

It's awful being in that situation. Like you've I've heard that dogs should not have chicken bones because they can splinter & perforate the intestine. Which doesn't help when you've just been too late to stop the dog swallowing one.
It's happened to me too - I especially hate those people who have chicken & chips late at night & then just drop the remains in the long grass! I normally just wait & hope. Knowing that, if over the next 24 hours, the dog seems to be in any pain, then I should rush her to the vets at once. Touch wood - my dogs have always been okay. So fingers crossed yours will be too!

First was it raw, or cooked?
Raw bones:
Its better if they chew the bones up first, but just keep an eye him he should be fine. Give him a bit of canned pumpkin to help it get through a little easier.
Cooked bones:
These tend to splinter. Watch him very closely for signs of discomfort, blood in his feces etc. If these appear, take him to the vet.

yeah its perfectly fine for all dogs to eat chicken bones as long as they are not cooked when theyre cooked they can splinter and do the dog harm. my dogs have both grew up on chicken wings and now eat whole raw chickens no problem.

do not put chicken bones out for the cat cuz then the dog could choke on them and it doesn't digiest in their stomach. so it is really hard on their stomach.

No especially fish and chicken bones, they sever and can peirce the lining of the esophogus, stomach, and intestines. I would see how he does over night. make sure he has ALOT of water. Maybe some milk to make him have diareha to push it out, Cats are lactose intolerant. Good Luck!
