You would have to have your vet check the dog to see if it needs it. Most Bullies do. The surgery is fairly safe, and it is fairly quick and simple. They just use either a laser or an electocartery (sp) to cut the extra tissue off of the soft pallate. They recover very quickly and it generally improves their quality of life. I would also recommend having the vet open up the nostrils if necessary (the problem is called stenotic nares, it is where their nostrils are too small and obstruct breathing). They will both help a lot with the dogs breathing and will reduce snoring.

you need to ask your vet to see if it need to be done in the first place, he or she will let you know. also ask the breeder if her dog have had the surgery done on them
