The best way is to use your lower arm between your hand and your arm and not your fist if you are serving under. If you are serving over head then that would mean you are spiking to serve then open your palm and just throw the ball up.. NOT TOO HIGH though.. Do not follow through the ball when spike to serve.. just through it up and STOP the ball just practice that way.. following through the ball will make the ball go under the net. Spiking while you follow through is only good to use if you are in front line and using it in jump serve.

Use the palm of your hand and make as much contact as possible with the ball. That way the ball will go in the direction of your swing instead of flying off to one side or the other. For the proper technique for serving the only thing you really have to worry about is staying behind the end line and serving within the time limit. Beyond that it really doesn't matter how you put the ball over just as long as you use some part of your hand or arm.

it depends on the serve that u r talking about. if u r talking about under hand u would use the palm of ur hand. for example i use my right hand and hold the ball out in front of me with my left hand, and step with my left hand since it is the opposite foot.
then for over hand serving. u would use ur palm also for that one. for example again i serve with my right hand so i would throw the volleyball with my left hand step with my left foot then i would hit with my right hand to make it go over the net.
don't forget to when u do the over hand serve the ball would have to be an arm up in the air
good luck with serving!!! :)

You want to hit with the palm of your hand. IT is a flat surface and you have more control. Swing all the way through and the ball should go right over the net! Good luck!

well for under hand it is like this
if u are right handed make it in to a fist.then hold the ball in your left hand and dont toss it.
well for over hand...
if u are right handed toss the ball in ur left hand and hit the ball at a 90 degree angle, that is how i did it and hasnt stoped me any!

an over hand sever is the best. the technique is u hit w/ the heel of Ur hand the part closest to Ur wrist and u let it roll off Ur hand until it slips off Ur finger tips. that gets it over the net and give it spin to hit the ground. it works for me.. its fast and it spins

For a better and "harder" serve, hit the ball with your palm, and step into it. Also, (this, you probablly know) but.......Whatever hand you write with, you sever with too! haha!

over would be....
square up to the net
hold the ball in your hand in front of you(high enough so you can hit it but in front of you so if you let it drop it will hit your toe)
hold your hand by your ear and through the ball up and hit it with and open hand
just remember to swing fast and hit hard
