GREAT QUESTION! How can ppl be so gullible as to follow satan right into HELL when all around them is all the proof they need to know that GOD is REAL! How can ppl be so duped by such a loser?? It is his job to steal, kill, and destroy and ppl help him by thumbing their nose at the only one who wants to love them?!?
What kind of box do you live in? You say "No one believes...."
I and many more like me believe and know that ppl do come back from the dead, a virgin did have a baby, ppl will ascend up to heaven (not just "towards the sky"), and "you" can't turn water into wine but JESUS did. Also What you do not understand about sin and it's penality is that a sacrafice MUST be made and the ones ppl had to make before Christ were only temporary.. JESUS was the ultimate sacrafice because HE was GOD in the flesh, and HE was human while HE was here and since HE lived a blamless life, volunteered for the job, and was GOD in the flesh HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO'S BLOOD COULD FREE US FROM THE CURSE OF SIN AND ETERNITY IN HELL!
Now you don't want to hear this you only want to slam ppl of Faith. You use this type of retoric to make yourself feel better about your own life. You aren't sure if we are right or if you are so you think that if you can get us to shut up or change the facts (like that's possible), then you won't have to look over your shoulder and keep watch over your own set of "morales".

Of course it sounds ridiculous to those outside. The Bible even says the Gospel is foolishness to those that are lost. I agree, babies are not born to virgins and people don't come back from the dead. That's why these are called miracles. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a verifiable fact of history. Jesus was not just human, but He is God in human flesh. There are some great books that demonstrate the truth of the Bible. Some of these are "Evidence that demands a verdict" by Josh McDowell and "The Case for Christ" and "The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel. Also "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Louis is great. I challenge you to read these books and then come tell me its ridiculous. If you can do that, you don't have a brain.

I think they are so gullable because kids grow up
being told what to think, not to question their
parents or church what their taught about religion. Then they become parents and it goes on and on from generation to the next. I think it's more a form of brainwashing
than being gullable. Although, it may be the cause of
gullibility, because they tend not to question someone
who appears to be in authority.

I used to live inside the box and I find the whole thing ridiculous. The whole concept of Jesus dying and then being risen again which no one saw and the only people who can prove this is a couple of people who said he was no longer in the cave. Gee like thats not possible they took his body outta there and further more that would mean that his whole body went to heaven. Why doesnt ours, I thought it was only our spirit that leaves this place. Therefore his body (which was human) should have still been there. Need I say more.

i believe that a person came back from the dead and that A virgin had a baby, and that people ascend towards the sky, etc. Just because you don't understand what God has done for us, doesn't mean He's wrong, it means you're wrong. Jesus Christ is truth, there is no other outside of Him. Maybe you should investigate His claims more through people like Ravi Zacharias instead of looking at the surface of Christianity and assuming you know everything. I hope the best for you friend.

absolutely correct.
so is thinking that a mention of the age of the universe is "evolution" ...something I just read a few moments ago, on a Christian homeschooling site.
They're all up in arms because a set of math texts used a question about the age of the universe in a word problem to have kids write out large numbers.
-secular homeschooler (we do exist!)
edit: two thumbs down?
that's two more for the "those unable to distinguish between the origin of the universe and the origin of the species"
camp.
good on ya! no brain, no pain, right?

Maybe we are just smart to beleive in the truth. God preforms miracles. If you don't beleive then I am sorry to hear that. I will pray for you. Blessed are those who beleive without seeing. The bible even mentions that other people may make fun of us because of what we beleive, but we stand by our faith in God. In the end we will all know exactly what God has and can do.

Yes I agree if youre on the outside looking in, it does look strange. But you mock that which you do not understand.
First of all once you come to know and understand God, no miracle seems unusual.
Jesus died for our sins by taking the place of a sacrifice. Before Jesus came along, there was a system of sacrifices, but Jesus ended that by taking its place for the ultimate sacrifice once and for all. Therefore, anybody who wants to be forgiven, instead of sacrificing animals, they only need believe in Jesus in what they did for them. You can be forgiven also if you believe!

the most attrocious part is the "box" often is the 4 walls of the church, nothing happens outside that either
it becomes more a social gathering of what people wish to be true, vs what is
the doctrines plainly speak of afterlife as "redemption" from this one, where they speak of Utopian dreams and pointless existence save to worship and sing into eternity...not my idea of heaven
mine is here, now
right here on earth, just helping each other like a Good Samaritian
notice! did not say "good" christian...it was the bad and scorned atheist who actually Paid if Forward

It's so funny that you asked this questions, and half the people that replied just proved what you are talking about. Yes, it is rediculous. You don't have to be an atheist to not believe is Christianity. I am an agnostic, and my ideals are just to live life, be a good person and not worry about what is going to happen after I die < that is absolutly NOT ridiculous.
