I don't wear weave, it's my natural hair. My hair was itching so bad. I washed with Pantene shampoo so many times, but my hair was still itching. I thought the Pantene shampoo was the one causing the itch. So, yesterday, I washed my hair with Suave shampoo. And my hair is still itching. I put a lot of Oil in my hair, the itching was less so the Oil helped a little but my hair is still itching. What to do with itching hair?

check to see if you have lice......my friend put cooking oil in her hair to get rid of it because they cant survive in oil.....so maybe that is why when you put oil in your hair it helped the itching.....but I dont suggest using oil as a treatment for lice because then she had super oily hair for a long time and had to use a degreeser my dad had in the garage to clean his hands after working on cars...

Your itchy scalp could be caused from the weather. I have noticed a lot of my customers scalps being very dry in the winter months. So you may need to shampoo every 2-3 days as opposed to once a week. Also, i think you need to find a better brand, some suggestions; Carol's Daughter by Jada Pinkett is very good for natural hair, Design Essentials have very good shampoos and conditioners, another one i like is Essations.

I'm sorry for your trouble. This kind of scalp itching may be due to head lice. They are too small to see, but their nits attach to the hair shaft and have a white small speck appearance. Buy the over the counter treatments and have someone help you remove the nits (their eggs). Repeat the treatment as directed. Get rid of all your old combs and brushes, hot water wash your bed linens. Depending on your age, you can have a school nurse take a closer look for you. Good luck and things will get better soon.

You may have a dry scalp. Try either a shampoo for dry itchy scalp, or another product that works is Cholesterol. Yes that is the actual name, and it comes in a clear tube and is yellow, similar to the consistancy of conditioner. You can find most anywhere.

first of all, its not your hair thats itching, its your scalp. i think when you went from pantene to suave you went from bad to worst. try putting some anti-itch moisturizer and/or head and shoulder shampoo or selsom blue shampoo next time.

Use Head&Sholders or any dandriff shampoo, and checking for lice wouldn't hurt.
