I can't figure out why they won't work, they light turns on which means the speakers are on. There still plug in but they won't play any sound. does anyone know?? PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have the little speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen? Double click on that icon and a volume control window should open. Make sure nothing is muted and that the sliders are not all the way down to the bottom.

Have you checked to see that they are receiving power? The external speakers for my computer are battery driven. If the batteries are low or dead, they do not work. I can use an external power supply. If your speakers are like mine, it may be the power.
