Okay, so this guy at work has been always helping me and talking with me everyday. Now, I think he goes out of his way to avoid me. Is he scared that he may let on that he likes me or something? Do guys do this at all? What's the deal?

first of all i am a guy (on my gf's yahoo) and he probaly liked you more than a friend. When he seen that helping you and talking to you did not get him anywhere he gave up. Or maybe he just lost interest and is trying elsewhere.

Did you give him some kind of cold shoulder lately? Or he saw you went out with other guy? The next reason might be some of his colleagues teased him thus result in "getting away" from you.
If you do like him, send some signal and re-approach him. Good luck.

He probably has a new girlfriend and doesnt want to be perceived as flirting with you anymore to accomodate her. Very doubtful that he would put in all the effort with you just to drop the ball now.
